Our Approach to Marketing

The way we approach marketing has enabled us to scale our business, and reliably turn visitors into customers. And it comes down to two key factors: systems and data.

Systems allow us to easily execute the tactical work, so that we can focus our time and effort on the strategic. As these simply documented processes can be followed by almost anyone, they allow us to scales our results across multiple different campaigns with ease.

Data enables us to quickly make important decisions, through the use of dashboards and reports. Our data-based mindset allows us to approach everything we do with the future in mind, so whether it’s Facebook ads, email marketing, popups, or upsells… we always use proper naming conventions and automated reports.

When we combine these two factors, we’re able to execute the right decisions across multiple campaigns, fast.

The key to successful marketing is to focus on something that works, and get really good at it. That’s why we constantly evolve our processes and focus our attention where it matters most.

You’ll rarely find us trying a new form of marketing. Because the learning curve for success is time consuming and expensive, and we expect to fail fast and often when we test something new.

Only when we believe fully in the potential of a marketing technique do we go full-steam ahead. That’s why we’re starting to explore YouTube ads, but don’t build messenger funnels, or push notification lists.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

Your role will be primarily based on running and optimising traffic through Facebook and the Google network (display, search, YouTube). You will also be in charge of running our in-house reports on marketing.

Each month we run a new promotion, sometimes that’s a new product or an affiliate promotion, other times it’s a relaunch of an old product to our list.

The work that goes in behind the scenes can be quite significant. We have to run reports to know what we should optimise… rebuild advertising campaigns… try new creatives and audiences… set up new feedback loops… there’s a lot to consider.

We’re looking for someone who’s experienced with advertising (and has a very high attention to detail) to be a part of the execution team. If you love the data, and advertising… you’ll love this role.

The right person will be proactive, enjoy looking at data, optimising, and executing important decisions daily. They will also need to have a thirst for knowledge as the platforms are constantly evolving and there’s always new strategies, methodology, and tools to learn and explore.

While you will need to have experience with advertising, the platforms and methodology change regularly, so we will provide you with world-class training resources to get you up to speed fast. And you’ll be working alongside another advertising agency to support them, while testing new and creative ideas.

You will find yourself as part of this marketing team:

  • Marketing Manager (Currently Joshua Dunlop) – The face of the company, and the person in charge of all marketing resources
  • Data and Advertising (Currently Filled, but Leaving Soon) – someone with a data based background who can analyse our advertising, analytics, and CRM data to find ways to optimise and run paid traffic
  • General Marketing Assistant (Filled) – social media, creative marketing ideas, content promotion, lead generation, email writing
  • Copywriter – copywriting, email marketing, advertising, creative marketing ideas
  • Technical Marketing Assistant – building the back end of sales funnels, memberships, lead generation, tracking pixels, audience building and more – it will be your responsibility to execute our marketing, and strong experience with technology is essential

For this role, experience is required, but it’s just as important to find the right kind of person. You should have high intelligence, an ability to pick up new skills fast, and a strong understanding of data.

You will learn direct-response advertising inside and out, and will be provided with training courses from which we learned our marketing. We’re also happy to provide you with any personal development or role based training you’d like.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Running Facebook advertising – you should have a good understanding of data analysis, and you will be in charge of implementing the campaigns
  • Creating ad campaigns based on the promotional calendar – you will have to plan out your ads in advance and optimise them daily
  • Working with the head of video training, videographer, and designer to produce new creatives on a weekly basis
  • Conversion optimisation – it’s important to maintain the highest conversions possible so we are always testing new landing pages
  • Participating in daily ‘war room’ meetings to work on the highest leverage marketing opportunities each day
  • Running marketing reports from raw data

Although you will be working within a team, this is not a position that will be micromanaged. You will be entrusted to execute your own decisions daily, and will be responsible for their performance.

Experience and Requirements

You will be in charge of a ton of data, and expected to pick up new skills fast, while making daily decisions that will make a big impact to our company growth.

These are the minimum experience and requirements:

  • Expert level experience with Excel – this is fundamental for all of our reporting purposes and informs most of our decision making – if you don’t love Excel, you won’t be a good fit
  • At least one year’s experience working with online advertising is essential – you should understand how advertising campaigns are structured, and are up to date on the latest trends
  • Experience in the following fields has also proven to be beneficial, please indicate your experience in your application: advanced mathematics, data visualisation, analytics, business intelligence, engineering, web development, or finance
  • An eagerness to learn new skills, and stay at the cutting edge of online marketing
  • A valid passport if you wish to join us at marketing conferences

The right person will be analytical, can easily understand how complex campaigns work, and be very quick at picking up new skills.

Salary: 250k-500k HUF NET based on your skill level, with value based raises from then on.
