Editing street photography can be daunting. To help you make the most of your street photos and get through your workflow quickly, we’ve put together this list of 15 best Lightroom presets for street photography.

15. Color 1600 v4 (Eric Kim)

Color 1600 v4 is a colour preset, as the name suggests. The temperature gets a warmth boost, along with the exposure and contrast. The highlights and whites come down, yet the lighter areas do get blown out.

VSCO Film from Fix The Film removes the darkest shadows, allowing you to see the darker areas of your street image. The Vibrance slider gets a boost, which adds warmth and a stronger colour to your image.

13. Travel Cam (Presetpro)

The Travel Cam preset is a basic preset, as it only works with the light, rather than editing the colour. The highlights come down, whereas the shadows and whites go up, adding more light to the darker areas.

The Street Hardcore HDR preset is as it says on the tin. It’s a High Dynamic Range preset for street photography, making your image stand out more. The contrast is increased substantially, along with the blacks and vibrancy, creating this powerful preset.

I know, Cinnamon Girl is a weird name for a street photography preset, but what’s in a name anyhow?

The temperature jumps up a tad, along with the tint and exposure, giving it a little more colour. The highlights come down, helping those lighter areas become more stable.

The Royal Enfield preset is more of a vintage edit, giving you a less contrasted and more muted look. The shadows and blacks go up, pulling more light out of the darker areas.

The Portra 400 V2 is a replication of the world’s finest grain high-speed colour negative film. The Portra 400 is a film by Kodak that brings light to the darker areas of your street photography.

The contrast gets a kick, and the shadows adding definitive lines between the light and dark areas. The highlights come down, allowing the sky to get more detail.

VSCO is a photography mobile app, allowing you to edit your images on the go. The preset Contrast Colors has been replicated for use in Lightroom. It adds colour and contrast, keeping your images punchy and powerful.

The best thing about this preset is that it helps to pull details out of overblown skies, by moving the Whites slider down.

Kodak Film was an institution for film photographers across the globe. The feel of the film is replicated in this preset, which really helps to equalise the light in your image. The shadows get a little light, while the highlights get a little more detail. One of the best Lightroom presets for images that feel a little dark.

1. Silver Surfer (Free Lightroom Presets)

The Silver Surfer is one of my favourite presets for street photography. It is a black and white conversion preset, adding a matte finish to your image.  The contrast increases as we see the highlights decrease and the shadows increase. This gives you a bigger difference between the light and darker areas, making it a powerful tool.
